On the Opening Ceremony of the 2023/24 academic year, Levente Komarek Ph.D., vice-dean of education, reviewed the enrolment data of the Faculty. During the recruitment process 419 students were admitted.

Compared to last year, the number of students admitted to our Faculty increased by 92.2 percent. On the BSc majors 356 students and on the higher education vocational courses, 63 students were admitted. A significant number of those who successfully enrolled, receive state supported training.

Besides Hungarian majors, on the English Agricultural Engineer major in the 2023/24 academic year, 55 international students were admitted. They came from 17 different countries.

All in all, taking into account both gradual and post-gradual courses, we welcome 437 new students from September on the Faculty of Agriculture.

Edit Mikó, Ph.D., the dean of the Faculty welcomed the new Hungarian and also the international students.

She wished a successful year to all of them.

Her speech was followed by the conventional pledge of the first year students. The dean accepted them as university students by shaking hands.

Deputy Major Ferenc Gyöngyösi, greeted the first year students on behalf of the Hódmezővásárhely County Municipality.

At the ceremony, new staff members of the Faculty were welcomed as well as the lecturers who received nomination and entered a new position.
